The Hacienda Los Andes is situated 500 kilometres north of Santiago in the 4th region of Chile. We are within easy reach by coach and by car via La Serena and Ovalle (both approximately 2 hours drive) which is off the big tourist tracks. You may also make use of our private transfer service from La Serena, Vicuña or Ovalle. Easy to reach also by air. Dayli 3 flights by Lan Chile www.lanchile.com from Santiago to La Serena Airport where we pick you up by our private transfer.

Different routes to reach our valley:

La Serena - Vicuña - Hurtado - Vado Morrillos
La Serena is situated right at the Panamericana. Drive in the direction of Vicuña. In Vicuña, turn right to Hurtado. You will reach Hurtado after driving for about 100 minutes along a wildly romantic gravel track through the mountains. Our Hacienda is situated at Vado Morrillos which is 5 kilometres from Hurtado.

Ovalle - Samo Alto - Vado MorrillosLeave the Panamericana and drive into the town Ovalle. In Ovalle follow the road for La Serena. Leave behind Ovalle for about three kilometres, then turn right and follow the sign "Samo Alto"/"Hurtado". Partly asphalted roads lead to Vado Morrillos where our Hacienda is after about 100 minutes drive.. For detailed description see: Travel by car

From Vicuña via Hurtado
In Hurtado turn right at the border police station. After about 5 kilometres, you will cross a bridge over the Hurtado river. A little way up from the bridge turn left into the drive of the Hacienda.

From Ovalle via Morrillos
Leave behind the locality Morrillos for four kilometres, then turn right (just in front of the bridge) into the drive of the Hacienda at Vado Morrillos.

Easy by air - just 55 Minutes from Santiago
Planes from Santiago de Chile land at the airport "Las Flores" (99 kilometres from the Hacienda) in La Serena three times every day. Our hacienda is just 99 km a way from the airport. We would like to pick you up with our transfer vehicle. Many travellers visit our hacienda and than travel on to the North (San Pedro Atacama or Lauca National Park) by air from La Serena.
