Some guests prefer to bring their own optical tube assembly (OTA) and camera, but want to avoid the cost and burden of transporting a heavy and often bulky mount.  For them, Hacienda los Andes offers a first-class rental mount.

The Astro-Physics Mach1GTO Mount on the stable Eagle folding pier is a compact but very sturdy imaging platform.  Nominal load capacity is 20 kg (45 lbs) and the periodic error before PEC is less than ± 3.5 arcseconds.

The GTO Keypad controls all mount functions and includes extensive databases and tour features in a simple, intuitive interface.  A RS232 serial cable allows direct computer control (planetarium program, ASCOM, etc.) 

The Mach1GTO mount is set up with its 13.8 VDC power supply and polar aligned, ready to go.

The guest OTA is mounted on the Astro-Physics model SB1500 15" sliding bar with short 1/4"-20 stainless steel screws along the centerline, see image below.
